Making a Murderer: Watch the Controversial Entire 4-Hour Confession of Brendan Dassey, the Teen Convicted of Teresa Halbach's Murder

The investigators had questioned Brendan two days prior to this date without anyone else present. Who knows what they may have suggested to him at that time that he was merely recalling during this statement. Also, during this 4-hour statement, Brendan's story varies wildly. They won't accept his initial responses and they keep leading him to give new ones. The investigators were extremely leading in their questioning, often giving Brendan 2 or more choices of which he would choose one. When questioned later on how he came up with certain things, he later stated that he did like he does in school, he guessed.
Brendan also had 4 months from the time of her disappearance before being re-questioned here(remember the police had interviewed him in the beginning with no issues). During this 4 month span Brendan would have spoken to brothers, uncles, parents, cousins, friends, townspeople, kids at school, etc. With Steven being held in jail during this time, it's likely many people were speculating as to theories of what happened to her. Some of Brendan's ideas could have been generated from hearsay/speculation/rumors/gossip. Some of his answers may have purely been imagination. There was zero evidence that corroborated (one of the many conflicting versions of) his story of raping, tying her up, cutting her throat and hair in the bedroom. All this plus the fact that he is learning disabled. To say that his statements are not credible is an understatement.
